avenport this morning. Police and paramedics responded to a call at 630 am this morning. When emergency units arrived the cyclist, who has yet to be identified, had no vital signs.

ARC, Advocacy for Respect for Cyclists will hold a memorial on November 30. More details to follow.

Running a red light is illegal and deadly, ask the teacher. Oh, you can’t, he’s dead. Spare everyone the tears and the hypocrisy. Obey the traffic laws. Doing so would have saved the lives of 3 pedestrians in 2011.
You should go talk to the police if you witnessed this accident, because no one knows what happened. All the newspaper reports have different versions, so unless you know the circumstances you should show a little respect.
I do respect life. The teacher didn’t. A nine hundred pound gorilla couldn’t get up the Lansdowne hill without running a red light. He was struck by two cars going east and west on Davenport on a green. How many cyclists must die? A responsible bike union must stop trying to hide the obvious? There are avid cyclists in TO who have been knocked unconscious by cyclist goons who ran red lights. Stop kidding yourself.
You are obviously not a cyclist but a hater. Did you ever think he was turning south on Lansdowne from Davenport, that he was in the turning lane when he was hit from behind? Your comments show a lack of knowledge of the situation and lack of consideration for the family.
